From the Mediterranean to Antarctica, Greg has built a unique voice in underwater photography — combining technical mastery with powerful storytelling and a deep connection to the ocean.
If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to create images that resonate worldwide, this is a rare opportunity to hear it directly from one of the best.

Meet your speaker
Greg Lecoeur is an internationally acclaimed wildlife photographer known for his poetic underwater imagery and devotion to ocean conservation. His award-winning work has been published in National Geographic, GEO, Le Figaro, and more.
Originally from Nice, France, Greg began diving and exploring marine life at an early age. He rose to global recognition after being named National Geographic’s Nature Photographer of the Year in 2016 for his iconic “Sardine Run” image, and further cemented his reputation by winning Underwater Photographer of the Year in 2020.
He keeps travelling the world capturing extraordinary marine life — from the icy waters of Antarctica to the ecosystems of the Galápagos — while continuing to regularly dive and document the Mediterranean Sea, his home waters and a constant source of inspiration.
His photography blends technical excellence with emotional storytelling, revealing both the beauty and fragility of the underwater world. His work spans themes such as cetacean migrations, coral reef health, and ocean predators, combining visual impact with scientific insight.
Greg is also deeply committed to conservation. Through his NGO We Are Méditerranée and his latest initiative Expédition Pelagos, he documents and raises awareness about marine ecosystems in the Mediterranean — a region particularly close to his heart.
A member of the National Geographic Image Collection and author of six books, Greg uses photography as a bridge between art and conservation, inspiring audiences around the world to reconnect with the ocean.
