🇦🇺 South West Rocks, Australia (7–11 October 2026) — New Moon Shark Trip

Join Nicolas Remy for a 4-day underwater photography workshop at one of Australia’s most spectacular dive destinations: South West Rocks. Famous for the thrilling swim-throughs of Fish Rock Cave, large numbers of grey nurse sharks, and the hidden gem of Green Island, this location offers world-class opportunities for wide-angle underwater photography.

To help you make the most of every dive, participants will first join Nicolas online for a private pre-trip talk on shooting wide-angle at South West Rocks — from lighting techniques inside the cave to capturing sharks gracefully in mid-water.

Once on site, the focus shifts to image reviews, feedback, and continuous improvement, allowing you to refine your approach with each dive.

You’ll be part of a small group of 8 underwater photographers, creating a friendly, supportive environment both underwater and topside. Two weeks after the trip, you’ll meet online again for a post-trip image review session, celebrating everyone’s best results and discussing how each image was created.

What’s included

  • 4 days of diving (8 scheduled dives) with free Nitrox

  • 4 nights’ accommodation in South West Rocks (furnished appartments, twin-share basis)

  • Online pre-trip South West Rocks wide-angle masterclass with Nicolas

  • Daily on-location image reviews & coaching

  • Small group: maximum 8 photographers

  • Post-trip online review session two weeks after the workshop

The package price is AUD 1,624 for 4 days / 8 dives + 4 nights’ accommodation.

If weather allows, we’ll aim to add a third dive each day (+ AUD 60/dive, payable at the end of the trip).

Given the nature of the site (read about it here), we recommend an Advanced Open Water certification (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50 logged dives, and participants must hold a Nitrox certification.
