Bokeh, which is another way to refer to the blur obtained in out-of-focus areas of a photo, is a powerful artistic tool that is often under-exploited. In underwater photography especially, we tend to forget bokeh because our strobes anyways have a limited reach, and visibility is limited too, so shallow depth of fields don’t come as a necessity as often as top-side.
