    Hello Jo, I think these photos have some great colour and contrast. subjects that are normally on sponges like these tend to camouflage in more when shot head on even though that’s normally the better technique when shooting macro. I think your decision in going back and getting that side on shot is in my eyes better for the fact the subject is more recognisable with the side on profile. As the eyes aren’t completely obvious in the front on shot then the viewer cant connect with the subject as much. So getting a diversity of shot sizes and angles of the same subject is always a good thing and especially reviewing images underwater might make you want to reshoot like you did in this case!!
