Thanks for the comments. I re-edited the photo following your suggestions. I noted that my display was a little dim, so I brightened it up a bit. That accentuated the overexposure of the subject. Reducing the exposure really brought out the colors. It also darkened the background, which I augmented in places using LR masks as you suggested. Overall, I think its a big improvement. I’m not a fan of subjects floating in a totally black background so I left just a small amount of texture with no bright spots to distract the viewer. This is a new style for me and I’m liking it better as I gain more experience with it.
