My sole Rodney Fox experience was one without great white sightings sadly, but it did give me time to reflect on my gear while hanging in that cage. I’d say ok with a fisheye but you may have to crop, a zoom through wide-angle with a dome that isn’t too big would be my pick, such as a WWL-1B for your setup.
Yes to strobes, but you’ll be space-constrained in the cage and @Bill gave me a great tip: use just 1 arm section per strobe, not two.
Time of the year: the frequency of sightings sadly has reduced over the last year, so I am unsure about recommending anything. I’d pick a warmer month just for comfort. I went in the middle of Winter hoping for big females seen mostly at that time, but I didn’t see any and would have been happy with a smaller shark too.
Exposure suit: I thought drysuit too, but the Rodney Fox team advised against it: in the cage you’ll be hanging amongst floating fish flesh/fat/oil and you don’t want this to go in your drysuit valves. A thick wetsuit with a heated vest seemed like a great choice according to some of my travel buddies.
Other subjects: yes! if the weather allows, you’ll do some dives in the colony of Australian fur seals near Port Lincoln which nicely complement the shark cage dives, which is the focus in the Neptune islands.
