I absolutely love this image and the way you’ve captured such a fleeting moment. The negative space works beautifully here — it gives that tiny goby room to breathe and draws my eye straight to its wonderfully expressive face. It’s such a simple composition, yet it has a huge emotional impact.
I also enjoyed reading Nico’s and Ian’s observations. It just goes to show how many different elements come together to make an image successful. I hope we’ll see more of your work in future challenges!
