How’s everyone going with this month’s challenge?
I have to confess—I haven’t managed to shoot anything for it yet. It’s that time of year in Melbourne: cold, rainy, dark, and just a little gloomy. Diving has slowed right down, our annual Giant Spider Crab aggregation has decided not to show up (again!), and the reports from the Giant Cuttlefish aggregation in South Australia haven’t exactly been encouraging either.
There are some very exciting things happening behind the scenes with my diving and underwater photography, but I have to admit the winter blues have caught up with me a little.
If any of you can relate, you’re definitely not alone.
That said… I’m not giving up just yet! I’m determined to make an honest effort to create something for this challenge over the next week or two—whether underwater or on land.
Let’s not let the season beat us. Get creative, experiment with whatever you’ve got nearby, and let’s fight the winter blues together. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
