Fantastic images, Nick. I have a real weakness for creative bokeh backgrounds, and both of these photos look beautifull to me.
The first one gives me a strong “rising sun” feeling — such a simple but powerful composition, with the nudibranch looking tiny against that huge glowing disc. The second image is pure eye candy, with all those colours and shapes creating a magical backdrop without overwhelming the subject.
It has been really enjoyable seeing the results coming out of Lilian’s course. If this is what students come back with, I’m even more excited for my turn next month!
