Paula, beautiful set — and thank you for sharing such a thoughtful breakdown of the choices behind each frame.

I really enjoyed seeing how the different lighting setups changed the mood around the same subject. It’s such a subtle little goby, and your images make a great study in how light and background can completely shift the feel.

Photo 3 especially caught my eye — the goby hovering over the sponge, with the second sponge reaching up from below, gave me a bit of Michelangelo’ Creation of Adam feel. Really lovely.

I also really liked 2 (that open-mouth moment!), 3, and 5 — each feels distinct and brings something different to the series. Number 5 in particular feels like such a beautifully clean, classic portrait.

If I had one gentle portfolio thought, I’d probably lean into those stronger individual variations and keep the edit a little tighter, so each frame feels even more distinct from the next. The quality is beautiful throughout, and trimming one or two of the more similar images would make those differences stand out even more.

A really elegant and thoughtful submission.
