Ariane — fantastic collection! And one of my all-time favourite subjects too – fish with legs!
The colour throughout this set is exquisite, and the dramatic lighting really suits the tiny frogfish. The orange-on-black palette works beautifully and gives the whole series a strong visual identity.
I also really enjoyed the storytelling in the sequence — from showing it tucked into the sponge, to the more graphical portrait, to the little “grumpy frogfish walk” at the end.
If I had one very small suggestion about portfolio overall, it’s that two of the images feel a little similar, so the set may lose a touch of impact there. But that’s a tiny point in an otherwise beautifully executed and very memorable set.
And thank you for sharing the thought process behind each frame too — such a great example of working one subject in multiple ways!
