Hey John, bummer about your strobe situation; I am sure it’s frustrating. Enjoy your time with one strobe, a great primer to gain a much better understanding of light and the impact it can have on your characters and storyline. For most of my macro work, I am now using only one strobe and really love the control I have over the lighting to create texture, shadows, 3D form, and mood. I think from here on, that will be my preference in many situations.
