The HF-1s are a bit overkill for macro (since you have the MF1) BUT:

=> the extra oomth can serve you well for blackwater

=> I’d suggest trying some CFWA (see the lesson here in case you’re not familiar), one of my favourite type of UW photography. You’d need a fisheye lens and a mini-dome (or a wet wide angle lens) for this though.

If memory serve, @Ariane or @billkuiper had a crack at CFWA in Lembeh recently and may have some experience to share there.

@veronac is also getting started with fisheye/CFWA with a similar camera to yours.
