    Hi Evan

I shoot with an Olympus M43, my favourite lens for Lembeh is my 90mm with no diopters. looking back at the last time I was there I took over 4000 photos of which nearly 3400 were taken with my 90mm. Saying that I didn’t do any blackwater on that trip. Although the bigger subjects you have to be some distance away just make sure you have long enough strobe arms to be able to push your strobes forward which will also help reduce any backscatter. The advantage with the 90mm is that you can select the focus distance you want ( port permitting) so you can prevent hunting. Also with the SM setting I have never felt the need to add anything other than an MFO1 in respect of diopters and just have that on full time.

I live in Dauin in the Philippines and shoot macro/ super macro all the time here

I would use my 60mm with my MFO 3 for blackwater.
