Resizing your image to 1200px on the widest side will do the trick (NB: 1200px is the typical size of photos on TUC blog articles, so good enough for online viewing).
If you’re using Lightroom classic, you have a resize option on the export window (first screenshot) and use ‘resize to fit’ and pick 1200px on the longest dimension. That alone should take the size below 2 MB.
If you’re using a Mac and have any image you want to resize, open it with the preview app, show markup toolbar, hit the “adjust size” icon (bottom right icon on 2nd screenshot) and then change the size on the width or height (whatever is the longest) to 1200px (see third screenshot), then save.
