This is exquisite work, my friend — the control you have over the light here really shows. The glow, the colour, the separation… beautifully executed!
I also really appreciate you sharing the thinking behind the process — especially around managing backscatter in backlight. That’s the part most people struggle with, and you’ve handled it with a lot of finesse.
One tiny thought (and very much a personal preference): I find my eye looking for a bit more definition of the eye — just something to anchor into. But that’s a very fine balance with this kind of dreamy, internal glow you’ve created.
This is still well out of reach for me (yet), and such a strong benchmark for many of us — not just in the result, but in the level of intention behind it.
At the same time, I’d love to see how you’d take this now. Even with such a refined technique, revisiting it with fresh eyes often leads to something unexpected.
Would be amazing to see you push this again during the challenge.
