Well here goes!, I have been trying for ages to get a shot of a backlit seahorse without much success but I finally got one. First lesson is keep you light out of the photo and angled, this was taken just with two torches, one behind and one in front to give the detail of the seahorse, the light intensity needs balancing. Shot with Olympus EM1 mkii with 90mm macro lens, ISO 200 f/14 and 1/400sec. Using torches doesn’t limit your shutter speed if you haven’t got a trigger and HSS compatible strobes.
