    Hopefully you’ll get good rentals, but given you both are keen divers, I’m sure you wouldn’t regret investing in a drysuit at some point. Provided you get one that fits you well (super important), they will make all sorts of temperate dives more comfortable/enjoyable/safer – I would happily drysuit dive in waters as warm as 24C/75F.

    The trick is to use them regularly, so all the initial discomfort goes away, and you only get the benefits.

    Regarding your strobes question, if you’re aiming to photograph a great pacific octopus then you’ll need the hybrids. I would consider taking the Mini-Flashes only if I was planning some macro-only dives. If space/weight is of the essence, indeed you’ve got the mighty Chris Miles adapters up your sleeve so the Hybrids can do it all 🙂
