Thank you all for your feedback. Just for openness sake, I’ve decided to go with the Sony A7 IV. The lenses I’ve opted for are the Sony FE 16-35mm f/4, which will be my “learning lens” as I get used to the housing. I also have a Canon EF 8-14mm fisheye with which to experiment, and once I’m comfortable shooting those two I will convert the Nikonos 13mm. For some flexibility I also purchased a Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM (the original).
I’m about 90% convinced I’m going with a Nauticam housing and the 230mm glass port. That port should work well with all 3 of my lenses. I’d still like to look at the Aquatica housing, that’s the only other one I’m considering. (But I’m not sure the Nikonos conversion is compatible with it, have to check.)
I’ve always been an Ikelite person when it comes to strobes, so leaning heavily towards a pair of DS230s, 50ish cm on either side of the lens.
Thoughts or feedback on the design of my kit? Thank you.
