Hi everyone,
For those working, I know taking a full day off may not be practical, so here’s a refined half-day plan (you’re welcome to come just for the picnic):
- 12:30pm on Friday: meet up for a picnic around the picnic tables. I’ll bring some nimbles & soft drinks, BYO more susbstantial lunch.
- 1:30pm: gear up for a dive – BYO dive gear – interstate travellers can rent easily (FrogDive, ProDive, etc).
- From 2pm: shore dive in Clifton Gardens.
I know some people who can do 2.5h or more on a 12L tanks in this shallow site, and I am certainly not one for shortening a photo dive, but I’ll have to jump out around the 3:30pm mark, as I am expected at the dive show to help setup booth.
This is a self-guided dive, although I am sure we’ll be able to organise buddy pairs with locals who know the site very well.
If anyone is keen to do a pre-picnic morning dive feel free to pop-in a reply, as there might be others interested.
Fingers crossed for the weather – I’ll check a couple of days before and will provide an update here.
