Lighting and backscatter proved quite challenging, even though the sharks were only a few meters away. Visibility was excellent at first, but with so much activity in the water, things stirred up quickly. To minimize the backscatter, I moved up-current—though that did take me away from the most intense action. Still, it was an absolutely incredible experience to be diving alongside such massive and powerful animals!
