I know some of you here asked to be informed for our next South West Rocks workshop, and as mentioned in the coffee chat last week, I’m working on some dates with Pete & Bia from Fish Rock Dive Centre!
I just had a call with Pete, and these will be our trips:
=> Shark Month/New Moon: 4 days diving 08-11th October 2026 (arrive 07oct)
=> Shark Month/Full Moon: 4 days diving 23-26th October 2026 (arrive 22oct)
October is the month with highest number of grey nurse sharks (sandtiger sharks) around Fish Rock, and we’re picking those specific dates based on Pete’s wealth of experience, knowing these are when we can expect most action.
Also, we’re avoiding the crowded long-weekend (earlier in October) which won’t be as good for fish life anyways…
I’ll create another discussion once we have figured out the accomodation & full package pricing, but I wanted to already share the dates 🙂
