    Using presets can save you a lot of time, and some photographers even sell their own.

    At the end of the day, it is about saving you time in the develop module: if you’re ending up doing the same edits to many photos, to give them the “look” you like, it’s worth making a preset out of this.

    Personally… I am using a very basic preset that doesn’t do much, and that’s because I change lenses and strobes so often, each bringing their own tint to images, which requiring a fine-tuning of colours. My ambient lighting conditions change a lot too (good viz in Sydney can be nearly blue water, turning all the way to murky green, and when I travel I also get varying ambient light conditions).

    So… when I import dozens/hundreds of images from a dive/day of diving, I tend to just edit the first good photo to my liking, then copy-paste those settings to all other images.
