Thank you @NicolasREMY – totally hear you. That particular design has been around since the dawn of the time (give or take a gazillion years). Ikelite has upgrated it several times since, which is why it’s very hard to find instructions or walkthroughs for my specific combo.
My rig is basically a respected elder – still got plenty of life in it, just needs a bit of extra understanding and gentle hands. For me that’s half the appeal: working with gear that rewards skills, not just budget. I haven’t had a chance to test it yet – spider crabs ghosted us this season and Melbourne weather keeps cancelling my plans – but soon, hopefully.
@bax737 Dave, thanks for sharing the video. It’s a solid clip – just a completely different setup to mine (DL system vs my 4-lock system, different lense and port too). But hey, easy to mix-up if you haven’t seen this configuration in a while. Appreciate you chiming in – curious to hear if Bryce or anyone else has hands-on experience with this vintage combo 🙂
