    Gee! Whilst I appreciate Ikelite offeiring more affordable housings & making underwater photography accessible to more of us, that is a questionable design…

    I can understand why this vaccum can help secure the port on its own, but I would recommend you to be very careful & delicate with your housing, and definitely have it passed to you (rather than jumping with it), when boat diving.

    One thing picked my curiosity about the reply you’re quoted:

    The lens will have to be zoomed in slightly to avoid vignetting on the port shade.

    => You can’t zoom-in when you’re shooting diagonal fisheye, because your lens is already at it’s narrower end (15mm).

    However, on other brands such as Nauticam, the port shade does need to be removed when you’re at 8mm. Worth clarifying with them?
