Sorry to hear these issues haven’t been resolved.

Assuming this is the same back focus problem as with the Nikon Z 105mm (stemming from focus shift), focus peaking wouldn’t not help, because it relies on opening up the aperture, much wider than what you’ll actually use for the real exposure. Unfortunately, because of focus shift, then as the aperture changes, the plane of focus changes too.

Is the store where you dropped the lens Reef Photo? Do keep us posted of what you hear back, after they tested your gear.

I’ll be shooting a Canon R5 Mk2 within the next few weeks and will definitely try my EMWL, with focus unit #2. I’ll post here to share my findings.
