I’ve been reading Rich Smith’s book “The World Beneath” that Dawn recommended. I have the second edition published in 2024. This edition includes a preface that Smith wrote based on his more recent dives. He paints a very realistic and disturbing picture of the condition of reefs in some of the most pristine areas around the Coral Triangle. I’m not surprised, but his writing really brings the reality home.
