Forgot to mention: whilst some judges would be familiar with some of the finalist images (seen in previous contests, seen on Facebook, etc), we were only told authors’ names after we picked the 5 category winners and the overall winner.
Meaning, I don’t know the names of the other finalists, but looking at last year’s VOO, there’s a good chance that 1st/2nd/3rd places in various categories would win prizes too.
ADEX tend to be a little slow in announcing who these are, but I’ve taken this shot of the ADEX VOO display during the show, which includes some (but not all) of the finalist entries that we have judged.
If you see yours in there and want to know how it fared with judges feel free to ask, it’s still quite fresh in my memory.
@bax737 @grace_underwater : I did suggest for the judging to be filmed but alas it didn’t happen, save perhaps for a few bits here and there.
