It think it’s hard to do have bad diving in Indonesia, especially if the location has been hand-picked by a photo pro, so you should have a great time 🙂
Not knowing where you’re going & with whom (do tell!), I’ll give some generic suggestions:
1/ Do research the location, what are people photographing there, what is it particularly known for, and have a think about the equipment you need (the workshop leader might can give you some recommendations too).
2/ One of the great things about joining a workshop is that you have a photo pro on hand to whom you can ask questions/feedback/help. Perhaps the workshop lead is very skilled in some specific topic that you’d like to learn about, so take advantage of that too.
