I could write a book on my struggles with color. Cutting to the chase – the most useful approach for me was to color calibrate the displays I use for viewing and editing. I have two displays and calibrate them both monthly using the datacolor Spyder X2 elite. Once you have it set up it takes less than 5 minutes for each display. I don’t recall exactly what the system cost, but it didn’t strike me as expensive.
