Great that you managed to get a taster of Blackwater while at the CCiL workshop. Lembeh isn’t as known as the Philippines for that type of diving, but Lembeh Resort certainly has all the equipment/logistics nailed out.

First of all, congrats on capturing this Nautilus photo on your TG6 camera. Auto-focusing in blackwater dives can be a challenge, even more so on compact cameras, so well done! I like that you have it off-centered, and the small fish brings extra interest on this sought-after critter.

I think this photo could do with brightenjng the left side of the Nautilus, basically anything besides its shell, and the photo would be transformed.

Also, I’d like a little more space towards the right, and if that’s the original framing you have, you could always add some negative space in Photoshop (Image > Canvas Size, then fill that space with the black background, using Content Aware fills – no need for generative AI).
