I love a nice sharp subject and you nailed it.
What would have made this “more” as you say, would have been moving the camera back maybe 30 centimeters or so to get the whole dragon in the frame without cutting off any of its fins. I will differ with Mr Remy in that you dont necessarily need to get lower, so much as aim to have a very pleasing and non distracting color behind the dragon, sometimes this does mean getting low, but it can also be achieved by lowering your depth of field for a creamy and colorful (in this case green) background.
