A quick explanation of why I posted these two titles. One of the participants at our coffee chat yesterday will be sailing to Antarctica shortly. I thought he might enjoy these two books. They are a great read for anyone interested in sailing or visiting Antarctica. One of the authors is a professional photographer, so lots of great pictures. Hope you also enjoy this image of a juvenile gentoo penguin photobombing my picture taken in the West Falkland Islands on an expedition tracking Shackelton’s route through the Falklands, South Georgia Island, the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula.
