I know the portfolio language has caused some confusions, essentially what we need is entrants to put together the 6 images on a neutral grey background, so that the judges can open one JPEG file, and see all 6 images altogether, this has to do with the submission system being unable to “group” 6 different photos as a portfolio entry.
The way you put together those images isn’t a consideration for judging, simply try and maximise the available space, so judges can see each photo properly.
You can use various tools to do that, some people will go for photoshop, but you could as well do that in powerpoint: create a 3/2 ratio slide, ensure the background is #666666 grey, and drag & drop and arrange your 6 images there.
Then, export the slide to a JPEG of 6,000px wide.
Happy to provide clarifications on the rules/submission if I have the answer – the organisers would have replied the same to above question.
