    hey both,

    I think it’s a great tool and unique solution to salvage photos which are too far gone.

    I don’t think you’d want to use it to cleanup every image that has backscatter. I had access to an early version and whilst it really worked well, it turned my 50 MB raw files into some 950 MB .psd files. So, I would still use the standard cleanup tools if I had less than 10 spots to clean.

    Regarding your competitions question @jocudmore, most of them have ruled out “generative” AI, the intent being to forbid replacing parts of an image using data from other images. While I don’t think BSXT falls in this category, I suspect we’ll see some competitions updating their rules for clarity.

    See DPG Masters for instance (I am yet to post it on the forum), we’re asking that entrants don’t take off more than 30 spots, for we’ve chosen to reward in-water skills more.
