A few years back Lena entered a really cool shot she had of mating cuttlefish, really impactful, all the features of a comp-worthy images, with absolute zero success.
Then we saw a very similar in CUPOTY shortlist, only it was shot in perfect visibility with a sunball in the background, somewhere in the Mediterranean sea.
Well, we still love her photo (it’s one of those on our website’s front page/laptop view: https://www.nicolaslenaremy.com) but we know it’s little use for competitions. Plus mating cuttlefish aren’t that rare.
Mating froggies though… 😀
