Good point Gabriel, whilst the blackwater scenario didn’t come to mind (with the Nikon I can use a short focusing 60mm), you’re right that there’s a gap in the working distance range, when you swap between a “bare” 90mm/100mm/105mm lena and the SMC-1.

I get frustrated when shooting pygmy pipehorses that feel “right in between”: too small for the bare lens, but too big for the SMC-1.

A double flip setup involving MFO-1 sounds attractive indeed.
