    Chris,

    I have a similar wide angle setup and I have a trip coming up. I was in a similar confusion of having a single setup for macro + wide angle. I got few suggestions and recommendations to have a dedicated setup for Macro. I just got a flat port and a manual focus gear for Macro setup. I agree with John on having macro or wide angle dive based on the site.
