Where I see it as an absolute win is for Sony 90 users that do a lot of blackwater. The decreased minimum focal range is very exciting, and will make the “usability” of the 90 way more approachable. Right now I run a 90 with an SMC-1 on a flip for blackwater and I feel like theres an image performance gap on the subjects I can use the SMC on and the ones I shoot through the flat port. After Christmas I suspect I’ll move to the SMC-3/MFO-1 on a double flip for blackwater which will give me a full range.
