Chris, I have the A1 and as you describe when you are going wide angle sometimes you see something!
I have used the CMC1 and it does give good results on the 28-60 , you need to be close to the subject, so not as easy to use as the 90mm.
The other option I have experimented with to get closer and have more working room is to use an Inon wet lens from my collection which is a +5 dioptre.
Must say though, that I initially wanted all this flexibility to cater for what if I saw something and have realised that changing gear underwater is a bit of a time consuming hassle and with the risk of dropping and losing gear ever present. For me I feel more I have more success if I am going on a macro dive or a wide angle dive or a portrait dive as then you you start to “see” or “find” more subjects suitable to how you are equipped.
