I haven’t personally used the A7R5, but I have shot the Nikon Z8 with a similar combo (WWL-C).
Definitely, there are times where you will want to be able to focus closer when taking portraits/close-up shots, and a wet diopter would be the way to go.
Looking at the Nauticam port chart (attached), as of now they recommend CMC-1 or CMC-2. My pick would be CMC-2 for more distance flexibility and with your camera sensor you have ample room for cropping if need be.
The SMC-1 is meant for 90/100/105mm lenses so I’m not surprised it’s not recommended here.
If you’re not in a rush, I’d wait for Nauticam to publish testing/compatibility charts for their latest macro diopters (in pre-order), as there might be something for your 28-60mm.
