    The South-Eastern coast of Africa is a nice place to dive, thanks for sharing some photos taken there!

    The ambient light and absence of fill-light make these shots quite moody. Unusual, but I like the “atmosphere”, and how the light brushes up the shark’s skin.

    I prefer the first shot, primarily because the shark’s isn’t “cut”, but the bubbles on the left are a bit distracting. I wish it had a little more space on the left of the fin.

    Here are some editing ideas which you could consider.

    First shot: use photoshop to expand the bottom left corner and add some negative space by the shark (generative AI can be helpful for that sort of edit, but good old content aware fill can do too). Up to you whether you want to remove the bubbles then.

    Second shot: a simpler edit, but I really like how sharp the shark is an how inquisitive it looks. Since we’ve lost a fin, why not go 1 step forward and make it a close-up portrait, cropping from bottom right?
