    Hi Holly!

    I really like how you’re including colourful reef bits in the frame and not making the photo only about the seadragon.

    My vote goes to the second one, because of the position of the seadragon, where you can see its head clearly and it’s homogeneously lit. From a composition perspective, I wish the dragon was slightly more towards the rigtht, lined up with the top right powerpoint – see the composition lesson if that doesn’t make sense:

    I generally prefer subjects not swimming away, although the 1st shot lets us see the eggs better. If you had the same opportunity, I’d suggest tilting the camera down, which would line up the dragon with the top 1/3rd line (again, pleasing composition), while revealing more of the reef below.

    Back to my favorite shot (2nd) If you do get a strobe at some point, you’d be able to clear shadows and add more colours on the overall scene, which would help for the burgundy sponge in the foreground.
