The dive show was really nice indeed, lots of catching up with people and some cool gear / destinations on display 🙂
I remember this picture indeed, where everyone enjoyed how you included some reefscape instread of making the photo just about the dragon.
In your edited version, I like how the dragon is off-centered and it has more natural colours. The bottom/foreground lost a bit of their attraction this way, so may I suggest an in-between v3, where you bring some of that red back?
If you’re comfortable with masking, you could work selectively:
-move the white balance towards the reds a little
-perhaps add some saturation
-then do a select subject, which hopefully will save you from selecting the dragon manually, and compensate the adjustment you just made on the global photo.
One issue with your change of crop is that the top algae is now cut. If the rules of your local comp allow it, you coud use the remove tool to get rid of the top part. While you’re at it, consider removing the floating piece of algae behind the dragon’s snout.
