My 2 cents: personally I always use plastic boxes that are made for the size of these batteries, so that I know they’re not going to roll, with the risk of contacts touching each other and creating a hazard.
This is whether at home or while travelling.
Airlines are imposing various caps on how much battery power you can carry with you. With a camera batteries, a drone and now the Hybrid Flashs’ own lithium batteries, I am finding myself a little too close to those limits, and I like to share the load with fellow travellers whenever I can 😀
On liveaboards, I now time my charging so that there’s always someone awake, near the charging location. Bit of a hassle, but doable.
