I strongly believe that boosting is a mistake if you aren’t actually running a business. I fell into this trap very early on with social media, boosting several posts. Social media platforms then determined that I was a business and ever since have treated me very differently with apparent penalties for deciding not to boost again. Anyone who isn’t running a registered business should probably avoid the boosting game altogether IMHO.
