I actually agonised quite a bit trying to find the right crop. I didn’t get as close as I could have, so the raw has a lot of room to play with 🙂
It was hard for me to find the right crop – too wide, and there was too much negative space and/or distraction, and not enough detail on the subject. Too tight, and even though the detail on the subject was there, it lacked any contextual interest.
Here is a different crop, and the background darkened a shade.
