The Azores sounds like a great place indeed, did you see all these while freediving/snorkeling?
I actually visited the Azores (just the main island) back in 2012, but we had been slightly misled by the dive center, who told us lots of wonders, was happy to book us in for beginning of June, and when we didn’t see any big stuff, he sais we should have come later in Summer 😃 So I’ve always felt like I didn’t really experience Azores properly, one day I shall be back 🤞
My turtles photo was taken while diving with Murex actually, from the Manado Resort. Everyday they would take us to Bunaken Marine park for a double dive, then back to the resort for lunch, then an afternoon dive on the mainland.
If you want to see (many) turtles, ask them to go to one of the 2 wall dives where you can see 30+ turtles per dive (if you say I suggested it, they should know where). There are other lovely dives at Bunaken, but the turtles really abound on 2 particular places. My photo was taken in the blue, off one of these walls.
